This past weekend Angie and I went to a picnic sponsored by my work. We went to an apple orchard where there was a corn maze and some other activities. It was great to get out of the house for a while and see a new area of Minnesota. After the picnic we went to a small town named Hastings(an interesting fact about the town was that it used to have a spiral bridge right down town). It was almost more fun to go shopping there than the picnic. The town was a cute old city with a nice downtown street - there were lots of little shops that we unfortunately were not able to go into as we arrived in town at four pm and everything closed at five pm. I am sure there are more nice small towns around Minnesota that we will have to visit over the next year.
